Since the economic recession in 2008, the fitness sector has changed and updated motivated by the environment, which led to an adjustment in order to satisfy the clients’ new necessities. From managing costs to reducing prices, proximity centers, 24-hour centers, optimizing the offer, and also working now on the boutique. This is a new model arriving in Spain during a stable economic phase and aiming to reach new customers who know what they are looking for, and it requires that they care about their goals, experience, and clients who are willing to pay as much as it is necessary in order to enjoy training. Boutique centers were founded in the U.S. and are now coming to Spain. National groups are now standing out, becoming the preferable option for the fitness professionals for the next 10 years, according to a research by Europe Active. In this document the researchers are analyzing in first place the definition and characteristics that identify a boutique center. Afterwards they will show the detailed data collection about an establishment at a national level, communities, and provinces. The last part will consist of the opinion of the experts and their successful stories, as well as the opinion of the users and their experience in this new market proposal.
